EINLEITUNG / INTRODUCTION

DE: Das Trans4JAZZ-Festival steht für Jazz ohne Scheuklappen. Für den TRANS4JAZZ AWARD 2026 suchen wir junge Bands, die den Geist des Jazz ins Hier und Jetzt übersetzen: mit eigener Handschrift, Mut zum Risiko und Lust an Improvisation und Interaktion.

Wir lieben spannende, genreübergreifende Sounds – ob Einflüsse aus HipHop, Rock, Pop, elektronischer Musik oder globalen Traditionen: Entscheidend ist, dass Jazz (als Haltung, Sprache oder Ausgangspunkt) bei euch spürbar bleibt. Wir suchen keine perfekten Hochglanzproduktionen. Eine Handyaufnahme aus dem Proberaum ist völlig okay – Authentizität zählt. Das Festival findet in Ravensburg (Süddeutschland, Nähe Bodensee) statt.

EN: Trans4JAZZ stands for jazz without boundaries. For the TRANS4JAZZ AWARD 2026, we are looking for young bands bringing the spirit of jazz into the present: with a unique artistic voice, a sense of risk, and a clear focus on improvisation and interaction.

We love exciting cross-genre sounds—whether influenced by hip-hop, rock, pop, electronic music, or global traditions—while keeping jazz as a reference point (as an attitude, a language, or a starting point). We are not looking for polished productions. A simple smartphone recording from a rehearsal is absolutely fine—authenticity matters. The festival takes place in Ravensburg (Southern Germany, near Lake Constance).

Festival Slot (Nov 3–8, 2026): Zwei Gewinnerbands spielen beim Trans4JAZZ Festival. /
Two winning bands will perform at Trans4JAZZ Festival.

International Stage: Spielt im selben Festival-Line-up wie Asaf Avidan, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Chris Minh Doky, Till Brönner, Manu Katché uvm. und weitere internationale Top-Acts. / Perform alongside international headliners such as Asaf Avidan, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Chris Minh Doky, Till Brönner, Manu Katché and other outstanding artists.

Live Gigs: Future Dialogues + Support-Slots für internationale Headliner. /
Future Dialogues + support slots for international headliners.

Fair Pay: 400 € Gage pro Musiker:in (nach DMR). / 400 € fee per musician.

Media Package: Professionelle Videoaufzeichnung des Konzerts + Bandfotos. /
Professional video recording + band photos.

Artist Support: Perspektive für zukünftige Kooperationen und Projekte / Opportunities for future collaborations and projects

Travel & Stay: Reise- und Unterkunftskosten (bis 800 € pro Band). /
Travel expenses & accommodation (up to 800 € per band).

Visa Support: Unterstützung bei Visa-Anträgen bei Bedarf. / Visa support if needed.

DAS KURATORIUM / THE JURY

Die Auswahl erfolgt durch ein unabhängiges Fachkuratorium. /
